Rachel distributed copies.

Gloria said, "The agreement is ancient and unenforceable."

Daniel looked at him. "Dad, think about what you're doing."

Rachel continued. "We are seeking recognition of Emily's inherited interest, restoration of improperly transferred shares, and a forensic accounting."

Daniel leaned back. "And while lawyers argue for five years, the company collapses."

Emily met his eyes. "Then resign."

He smiled.

"You think a deed makes you powerful?"

"No. Evidence does."

She nodded to Rachel.
